Hello Mommies,
This is a continuation post toΒ Let’s have some fun baby! where we discuss about some fun and simple kid activities.
No matter how much you try, how much you surf on the internet..you still run out of activities to keep your little one engaged in.
In addition to our earlier post, we are going to list some new kid activities that are super engaging and can be done with stuff easily available at home.
The Artist Inside
“Let him explore!”, “Let her paint the world!”…Easier said than done!!
And who is gonna clean up the mess afterwards???!!!!! π
So, we bring you an easy-to-do, mess free activity. All you need is a painting brush, a paper and some water.Make your kid sit on the floor, high chair whereever you feel comfortable with the material..you will be surprised to see him/her engaged watering the paper and when he/she is done, just throw that paper away π
Walk in a straight line
You need – a brown tape, that’s it!!!
Just tape down a straight line on the floor and ask your kid to walk on that line without stepping on the floor.
Easy to do, fun activity..your little one just have to old enough to understand a line π
*Might leave some stickiness on the wooden floor if left for long time.
Food Colour Dough
IsΒ your little one too young to be left alone with the clay as you fear that he/she might swallow it!
We have just the right activity for you! Kids like to play with clays, making different shapes out of it, the colours..pretty much everything about it!
All you need for this activity is some dough and while you make the dough, add some drops to food colour to it.
Voila! Your edible play dough is ready..enjoy that hot cup of coffee while your lo is engaged π
Books
While some might enjoy, some might not!
We list some of the books, that our LOs enjoy at this stage (1.5-2years)
We would love to hear about the simple activities you do to keep your LOs engaged, please free feel to comment!
Love,
V|XOXO

Your welcome π
Wish I had known some of this 20 years ago!
Will try water painting with my little one right away. I will probably add a bit of food coloring into it to add a light nuance of color.
That sounds great π
Aw these activities sounds so fun. I don’t have any kids yet but I’ll have to share these with my friends that do!

Thank you Minakshi π
Specially for our fellow mom readers π
The dough is a great idea. I remember when mine where little making playdough that was non-toxic. However, their favorite was always the Ziploc bag ice cream that we made.
We like water painting too. Itβs great on the sidewalk during sunny days.
These sound like super fun activities! It shocks because they are very simple. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much π
I love this! I think it is so easy to forget that we can use simple things to engage our kids. Especially, with all of the high-tech stuff available now!
I love activities like these that inspire children to use their creativity and imagination. Itβs a great way to make some wonderful memories with them.
Good day! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog. Is it tough to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about creating my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Appreciate it
