Eggless Chocolate Mug Cake

Hello all!

It’s been a while we posted any recipe, maybe because we were waiting for something simple and easy to make or as per today’s post – bake ;). You don’t have to be a chef or master the art of baking, as this recipe literally tops the list of easiest recipes with some really simple ingredients and is ready in wEggless Chocolate Mug Cakehat, less than 5 minutes of time…Woohoo!

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp Self raising flour (Maida)
  • 1 tbsp Powdered Sugar
  • pinch Baking Powder
  • pinch Baking Soda
  • pinch Salt
  • 1 + 1/2 tsp Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tsp Melted butter
  • chocolate chunk Room temperature

  • 1 tbsp Self raising flour (Maida)
  • 1 tbsp Powdered Sugar
  • pinch Baking Powder
  • pinch Baking Soda
  • pinch Salt
  • 1 + 1/2 tsp Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tsp Melted butter
  • chocolate chunk Room temperature

Instructions
  1. Combine flour, sugar and cocoa powder in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Add salt, baking powder and baking soda. Mix well.
  3. Add butter and mix well.
  4. Slowly and slowly add milk and keep mixing to form a smooth batter.
  5. Pour half of the batter in a microwave safe greased bowl, put the chocolate chunk in the center and pour rest of the mixture on top of it.
  6. Microwave on high for 1min 30 seconds.*
Recipe Notes

* Time limit varies from microwave to microwave, usually its done in 90 seconds. You can check by pricking a toothpick in the cake, if the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is cooked.

If the edges are dark and hard, it's probably because the cake is overcooked..try reducing time by few seconds next time because as we mentioned it might depend on your microwave settings.

How to moisten a cake if it's hard?

Mix equal parts of sugar and water and boil in a pan on medium-high flame. Poke the cake with toothpick and pour water-sugar syrup over it and cover.
